High Potential Java Developer – Ghent Region

At our client, you will join a team of 18 people with varying experiences and backgrounds. As a developer/analyst, you will be responsible for developing applications for internal users and clients. In this role, you will regularly interact with various stakeholders to efficiently determine their business requirements. Our client is currently heavily invested in security (e.g., encryption), where you will play a major role using your mathematical insight (protocols, algorithms, etc.). Additionally, they are working on a machine learning project that is in the testing phase.

From a technical perspective, you will work as a full-stack developer, dealing with both backend and frontend tasks.

Within the analytical part of the role, you will gradually acquire extensive product knowledge regarding the financial sector.

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in IT or mathematics-related fields, or equivalent experience;
• You possess strong mathematical and analytical skills;
• You have basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming;
• Knowledge or interest in conducting analyses and gaining product knowledge is an advantage;
• You can work both independently and as part of a team.;
• You are communicatively strong, professional, and reliable;
• You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English; basic knowledge of French is a plus;
