Security Expert - Kortrijk Region

Engineering & Development

• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity roadmap in collaboration with the Product Owner.
• Guide R&D teams in implementing technical security measures.
• Integrate security throughout the entire development process:
• Threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE)
• Security code reviews
• Application security testing (SAST, DAST, etc.)
• Vulnerability management, including SBOM analysis
• Maintenance and configuration of vulnerability scanning tools

Compliance & Ecosysteem

• Coordinate external penetration tests and follow up on vulnerabilities
• Lead the incident response and vulnerability disclosure processes
• Prepare technical security documentation (whitepapers, internal memos)

• Master’s degree in IT or Information Security, or equivalent through experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a security engineering or software security role
• Preferably holds certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, or CISM
• Solid knowledge of secure development lifecycle, OWASP, CVSS, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling and vulnerability analysis (e.g., via SBOM)
• Preferably knowledgeable in Python, C++, and JavaScript (Rust is a plus)
• Strong communication skills in English and experience in international teams
• Analytical, eager to learn, and able to clearly convey technical requirements
