Céline has been with Amandis for six years: the power of staying

Wait a moment… a recruitment company that values retention? We admit it might sound a bit contradictory. We, who guide people daily to a new job, are suddenly talking about staying. And yes, sometimes we do support people in making a move from their current employer. But precisely for that reason, we also know how valuable it is when someone truly feels they belong. For us, retention isn’t about holding people back, but about giving them enough reasons to want to stay. Making a good match is one thing. A sustainable match—that’s where the real added value lies. Our colleague Céline embodies this perfectly.

In the world of ICT recruitment, where changing employers is often seen as progress, staying with the same employer for six years is more the exception than the rule. Yet that is exactly what Céline can proudly say: she has now been a reliable presence at Amandis for six years. And that is no coincidence.

As a recruiter, I help people take the step towards something new. But that doesn’t mean I see change as the only path to growth. I believe just as strongly in the power of staying. Staying to grow within the same organization, continuing to learn, continuing to build relationships and trust. Here at Amandis, I get all the space to do just that.

What motivates her? Céline fully commits to long-term relationships: with her candidates, her clients, and her colleagues. For her, it’s not enough to just make the right match; she wants to contribute to career paths where people can continue to develop. That’s why she strives not only for quality in selection but also for high retention among her clients.

I want candidates to feel at home with our client and be able to keep building their future there. But just as important is that our client can count on engaged, quality employees in the long term who help make a difference. That is also very fulfilling for me: when both parties truly benefit and move forward.

A beautiful example of this came to Céline recently when she shared her work anniversary on LinkedIn. Shortly after, a candidate sent her a message: they had seen the post and suddenly realized they themselves had been with the same employer for almost six years — thanks to Céline’s mediation. In the meantime, they had even grown from Business Analyst to IT Manager.
