In an overfished pond of IT professionals, Amandis, as an IT Recruitment Partner, consciously chooses to take a different approach. The perfect job match only occurs when the hearts of IT professionals beat faster.

IT professionals are people who often operate very rationally in the field. This makes sense when you look at their profession. The bits and bytes, the pursuit of precision and testability, the analytical approach that is often necessary. Someone with a strong analytical and rational mindset often feels comfortable in a more technical environment.

Many recruiters only match the technical skill set between vacancy and candidate. This is absolutely essential and a very good start to launch the conversation between client and candidate, but it is no longer sufficient. Artificial Intelligence, for example, can also match, and very well, by only looking at the ‘keywords’. You can then ask yourself what ultimately remains the added value or strength of an external recruitment agency.

Well, Amandis looks beyond the bits and bytes and has been focusing for years on what makes the client unique on the one hand and what the candidate truly desires on the other. What values make a company unique? What societal value does this company have and how engaged are the owners or business managers? How passionate can they be about selling their company and their solution?

On the other hand, there are candidates who also want to make a real impact. In principle, a .NET developer, for example, can work at any company that is looking for a .NET developer, but why do they choose company A and not B? Is it because of location, salary, remote work, work-life balance? Absolutely, these factors play a role. But these criteria are considered relatively standard nowadays, so why do they still choose one company over another? Gut feeling, a connection with the new colleagues and manager, the opportunity to make an impact and thus contribute to change on a larger scale in the long term. That is what ultimately makes the difference today, and it is precisely this aspect that only people (recruiters) can understand, feel, and convey.

This is understood by the recruitment consultants at Amandis. During an intake with the client, the vacancy is thoroughly examined. They do not only ask about the necessary hard and soft skills, but also extensively inquire about the company culture, retention, growth opportunities, (mis)match between employer branding and the onboarding process, etc. Because Amandis matches not only on skills but also on deeper values and norms, they can excite IT professionals for a new challenge in a correct and qualitative way. This translates into increased retention of IT professionals with their clients.
